Family Fun day at a petting farm

Recently we got back from vacation as a family and with friends and had such a great time that I thought I would share one activity we did together that may not have been as fun for the adults, but for the kids. I take that back, it was fun to see the kids enjoy this activity. Our activity was visiting a local petting farm that was on the Massanutten resort, but not a part of the resort persa. We ended up supporting this local farm and fed some goats, sheep, Tom turkey, chickens and saw ducks, bunnies, pigs, mini- horses, horses and camel.

Now this big guy made my hubby and I want a pig so bad, he was too cute, despite the mud bath:

All in all the kids were freaked out about feeding the animals and petting without adult encouragement or help but they eventually got the hang of it. It was a great activity to promote farm and foreign animals as well.
Thanks for reading. I will put up pool photos from vacation shortly.

  1. I am so sorry I have been MIA, Rachel, but so many favorite blogs to visit and so little time. There should be at least 30 hours in each day. LOL

I am now catching up where I left off. It seems like you guys had a wonderful family vacation. I enjoyed reading this and seeing all the photos. The children are all so darling. The twins are such cuties and they have definitely grown up. How old are they now? 14 months?
