DIY: Art Print

I don’t mean to sound like I have favorites- but I do in the blogging world and Coury is probably right there at the top.  She has a lovely little girl (Miss Goldie), her own clothing shop business-called Fancytreehouse and clothes that are not only beautiful but original. But I digress. The reason this DIY post inspired me is because my hubby and I are in the process of creating/finishing up DIY frames similar to this but with actual glass, paints and stencils and when I read this I thought Coury was a genius- she did it the simpler way haha! Isn’t her work beautiful? Read up on her post for this DIY here.

Fashion:

Black Everything Monochrome black Faux fur

When I saw this look on Kimberly I was in awe! In this post she expresses that a good way to turn an all or almost all black outfit into something exciting is to add textures. Hello!another strike of genius and she did it so well.  Since most of what I wear these days is black (its all I have in my wardrobe) this was an encouraging post to read and use as an inspiration when thinking of what to pair with my next all black (or all colors for that matter) outfits.  Let the ‘texture’ games begin!

With distressed denim being a popular trend in fashion these days I never knew or thought that I would find boyfriend/distressed denim jeans looks that I would like til I saw this look/outfit style on Kelly.  For weeks I have been day dreaming about white tees and drabby or boyfriend style jeans (I have never owned boyfriend jeans and  distressed once). My mind must have been telling me- hey! step out of your comfort zone, try it soon!  When I saw this on Kelly I knew I would want to wear something underneath the white crochet see-through but I just loved it all the same-it’s white! Booties have actually been a day dream of mine lately too, so she pulled all of my dreams into one masterpiece!

Organizaton/Storage:

Every now and then I organize my “tiny” closet (also shared by my hubby)and wish for more space- especially for shoes. As of now my shoes hang on a shoe rack on the inside of the door, and my clothes for other seasons go in a normal plastic storage bin. Sigh! the bins aren’t even cute but rather stack up on one another. So when I saw this post from Stephanie on how to best organize small closets I immediately began reading.  What I learned was making items in my closet a sort of décor, even outside the closet.  Stephanie took bins (not pictured here) and placed shoes and scarves in them and these went on her bookshelf with books placed in between them so that no one ever knew she kept closet pieces in them. Very outside the box!

Travel: London

Melissa always has such beautiful travelling photos in her blog posts that I couldn’t resist sharing her travel adventures in London.  Since I have always wanted to ride in a double decker and hang out in a tele-booth like this I also couldn’t resist sharing these.  She inspired me to want to spend a day in London! maybe longer!

Thank you for inspiring me ladies and for responding to allow me to share YOUR ideas and posts. :). If I didn’t hear from some of you- your inspirational post can be included in the next “Inspired Me” post. I will try and do this again in the near future- but hey I need more posts to inspire me then so I can HAPPILY share them! Enjoy! and thanks for reading, let me know what you think!?!
